My name is Amanda Chesser and I am honored to serve as President of the Alpha Pi chapter of Delta Delta Delta at the University of Maryland. Our chapter is composed of a unique and outstanding group of women, each with unique personalities and histories. Despite our individual differences, our sisters are all united by shared core values, a passion for Tridelta and a passion for each other. In 1888 Sarah Ida Shaw founded our organizations on the timeless ideals that we strive to uphold today: leadership, sisterhood, selfless service, and a dedication to intellectual and moral life. .

As Tri Deltas, we are dedicated to serving our community, as well as our national philanthropy, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. I think I can speak for us all in saying that St. Jude holds a special place in each our hearts and we are blessed to have the opportunity to work with such an inspirational organization. We cherish each opportunity we are given to help others, and aim to cultivate our inner character and become the brightest and best versions of ourselves.

When I joined Delta Delta Delta in the spring of 2013, I joined much more than a sorority: I joined a family. My experience in Tridelta has blessed me with genuine friendships, professional opportunities, and an endless wave of love and support. I am so fortunate and thankful to be part of such a vivid group of women and I am proud to call each and every one of them my sister. I look forward to contributing to the growth of our chapter and am excited to further my own development as a member.
